Before they visit
What an installer will actually ask you.
A quote for work on your house does not exist until somebody comes out and writes one. This is what they will measure, look at and ask about when they do — so that the visit is a conversation between two people who know what is being discussed, rather than a sales call you were not ready for.
Nothing here is a price, and none of it is specific to your house. There is nothing to fill in and nothing to agree to.

Separately
We are also trying to get these jobs quoted as a group.
When several households on the same few streets want the same work in the same few months, it is one trip for an installer instead of several, and that is worth something to them. Whether it is worth enough is the thing we are finding out. No installer has signed with us yet and no group has run.
