When an installer comes out about solar panels or a home battery, expect this.
None of this is specific to your house, and none of it is a price. It is what the visit is for.
- They will want to look at your electrical panel and know what it can take.
- They will ask how old the roof is. Panels outlast shingles, so a roof near the end of its life usually gets done first.
- Have a recent hydro bill to hand — the system gets sized from what you actually use.
- They will check what shades the roof: trees, chimneys, the neighbour's house.
None of that commits you to anything. It is worth knowing whether BunQo's finds you a group or not.

Tell us you’re planning this.
We are trying to get work like this quoted for several households at once, on the grounds that one trip down one street is worth more to an installer than three trips across a city. No installer has signed with us yet, no group has run, and you are not agreeing to buy anything by telling us.
